Any recommended reading for freethinkers?

I'm looking for books, (or academic articles or other high-quality writing, but mainly books,) on topics in philosophy and the social sciences. I'd like recommendations in the hard sciences too, if you have good recommendations for those areas, but at the moment I'm more likely to read about the soft sciences and philosophical topics. I'm looking for both general, introductory work, just to read to get an overview of different areas, and for any deeper writing on specific issues that has influenced folks.
Some specific topics I'm looking for information on:
history, (general world history, economic history, history of science, and history of religion,)
psychology, (in general and more specifically in regard to moral psychology, psychology of motivation, and psychology of emotion,)
economics,
anthropology, (especially legal and economic anthropology, but also cultural,)
sociology,
moral philosophy,
metaethics,
epistemology, (and any philosophical work on the nature of truth or meaning or more generally the philosophy of mind,)
aesthetics.
Thanks.
