Happy Turkey Day everyone. We'll be having the last freethinker meeting of 2008 this Saturday at the library. Come to the meeting, be thankful and hang out with your freethinker family.
Here is something the Fayetteville Freethinkers can be thankful for, we now have 227 people on our email list. There was a time when it was less than 10.
We will be having our Human Light solstice get together in December but we'll have to decide if we want to have a pot luck dinner in someone's home or go to a restaurant.
We had a very good turn out for the movie Religulous last month, about 45 people attended. And the movie had a good long run. They thought it would stay a week but it played for a month (and it's still places 31st in the nation).
We have lots of interesting topics lined up for this meeting and we are back in the spacious main meeting room. Felix will show us a beautiful series of photographs of the sun. Doug will reveal some "Buried Secrets of the Bible." James will tell us about his trip to the Freedom From Religion Foundation convention. Darrel will talk about a popular conspiracy movie the teenagers are passing around: "Zeitgeist." Plus we have a whole backlog of ridiculously funny video clips we haven't been able to get to.
