As per his personal ritual, Galt always titles his posts with a lie and follows with a first sentence that is equally false. Very consistent is our Galt. In this case however, he then goes on to quote something that is actually true:
NEW YORK (AP) - John McCain is mocked as an out-of-touch, out-of-date computer illiterate...
DAR
Good. McCain is an out-of-touch, out of date computer illiterate. Dead on, exactly right.
BUT as BHO surely knows, McCain- can't use a keyboard because of his WAR INJURIES!!!
DAR
Actually, that's 100% bullshit. James Randi, for instance, has written at least five books that I know of and writes a regular article for Skeptic magazine, runs a webpage, corresponds via email (with me for instance) and he does so with his computer and TWO FINGERS. He can't type. He pecks with two fingers. He has mentioned this and I have seen him doing his hunt and peck on a PBS special. And James Randi is 80 years old. He just doesn't choose to be an out-of-touch, out-of-date ignorant old fart like your McCain.
Blind people use computers. People with all sorts of handicaps use computers. Are you so stupid you actually think anyone is going to buy this line that McCain can't read or use email and doesn't know how to use a computer because of "war injuries?" McCain doesn't know how to use a computer or email because he has chosen to be an out-of-touch, out-of-date computer illiterate. You attempt to blame his voluntary ignorance on some "war injuries" is just pathetic. Yet, quite predictable. It's the crutch McCain always goes to isn't it? What a wimp.
McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care.

What a load. Judging from his behavior
he doesn't give a shit. That's how he acts, and he even ignores them with his mere words. Observe:
John Soltz, Co-Founder and Chair of VoteVets.org, writes:
"Last week’s Republican convention sure made every superficial effort to come off as pro-Troop and pro-Veteran. And, of course, the media ate it up, not challenging a single thing. But to those of us who did serve, it was offense after offense after offense. … Maybe because it’s because he has a terrible record, but not once in John McCain’s speech did he talk about taking care of those who served their nation in the military. With exploding rates of PTSD, suicide, homelessness among veterans. With ridiculous wait times for veterans seeking care, and a VA that every major vets group says is woefully underfunded. With administrators dumping vets out of the veterans care system by diagnosing them with a lesser mental injury than they have.
Not. A. Single. Word."

So not only can McCain not even bring himself to talk the talk, when he has the chance to actually
do something for the veterans
he votes against their interests.
A few examples of how Mr Straight Talk is full of Double Talk:
"McCain voted against the Webb amendment calling for adequate troop rest between deployments.
McCain voted against an amendment that would provide $20 million to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for health care facilities.
McCain voted against increasing Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion in FY 2007 to be paid for by closing corporate tax loopholes.
McCain voted to table an amendment by Senator Dodd that called for an additional $322,000,000 for safety equipment for United States forces in Iraq.
McCain urged other Senate members to table a vote (which never passed) to provide more than $1 billion for National Guard and Reserve equipment in Iraq related to a shortage of helmets, tents, bullet-proof inserts, and tactical vests.
McCain voted against increasing the amount available for medical care for veterans by $650,000,000.
When it comes to their claim to support the troops, John McCain and his party are flat-out liars. The message is simple - if you really support the troops, stop voting Republican." --ibid

Perhaps you have heard of the group DAV,
Disabled American Veterans. Here is their charter:
"Formed in 1920 and chartered by Congress in 1932, the million-member DAV is the official voice of America's service-connected disabled veterans -- a strong, insistent voice that represents all of America's 2.1 million disabled veterans, their families and survivors."
You can go
here and see how they rate each congressman and senator for how their voting record best represents the interests of veterans. Specifically with regard to these categories:
* Budget
* Appropriations
* Amendments to increase funding
* Emergency supplemental funding for VA
They score each member 1 to 100.
McCain's score is 20.
What score does this non-partisan group give Barack Obama?
Barack's score is: 80
So we see that your claim of McCain crying supposed crocodile tears for the veterans is once again just so much Republican Bullshit. His voting record is clear. Barack cares and votes for the interests of the veterans. McCain, overwhelmingly, does not.
Thank you for posting here Galt. I always learn something new every time I kick your ass. Well almost always.
