The founder of the group, Joe Vogler, gave a speech in which he said that "the fires of Hell are as icebergs compared to my hate for the American government." He also said, "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions."

Lynette Clark, the chairman of the AIP, tells ABC News that Palin and her husband Todd were members in 1994, even attending the 1994 statewide convention in Wasilla. Clark was AIP secretary at the time.
"We are a state's rights party," Clark -- a self-employed goldminer -- tells ABC News. The AIP has "a plank that challenges the legality of the Alaskan statehood vote as illegal and in violation of United Nations charter and international law."

Palin doesn't even want to be an American. She and her husband believe that Alaska isn't even legitimately a state of the United States.

And the GOP is endorsing this lunatic?

The best part, for the Democrats:

Palin kicked off the 2008 AIP convention EARLIER THIS YEAR by delivering the welcoming address and telling them to "keep up the good work."

When the Reverend Wright video came out, we had to see that thing a hundred times over the next couple of weeks.

The mainstream news media is completely ignoring the whole "Trig Palin is really Sarah Palin's grandchild" story, and I have seen/heard very very little about this anti-American party story. All I've seen on the news is a democrat mentioning it and a republican crying foul and then we move on. Certainly no video clips or actual investigative coverage of this.

Yet McCain and Palin WHINE about the "media" picking on them.

Whatever.
