Poll Should Worry Conservatives
"We could have done something important Max. We could have fought child abuse or Republicans!" --Oona Hart (played by Victoria Foyt), in the 1995 movie "Last Summer in the Hamptons."
Poll Should Worry Conservative
Today's New York Times, Monday, September 4, 2006, has a front page story that discusses not just the conservatives, but the Republicans in general and the chance that they could lose control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate because of the sentiments that you have shown above.

Remember - it isn't who votes, it's who counts the votes. Don't be surprised it November turns out to be "same ol' same ol'". However, if we do get one or both houses back - presupposing the Dems manage to get rid of the Lieberman R-Lites - we can start undoing the damage of the last 5 years. W is nothing without Congress - and he has no political skills, so he's unlikely to get anything like what Clinton accomplished under the same circumstances (of course, it's not the same circumstances unless they impeach W, too - and even then W won't have to have lived with 10 years of personal attacks like Clinton did). Unfortunately, "It's the economy AGAIN, stupid!"
