Okay- where do you folks stand on 911 Conspiracy theories?

Post by John Galt »

I'm contemplating buying a new gun- I have had a concealed weapons permit for 8 years now- I may buy an assault rifle- maybe an AR-15.

I may buy even more magazines depending on where my Free Thinker pals stand on the 911 conspiracy theories- I hope you folks were not the kooks we enjoyed at the Farmers Market the past few years.

Please share your sincere opinions with me.

Thanks, Your happy, friendly and crack shot, Pal.

It's actually one word. Do you have a learning disorder?

I have examined several 911 conspiracy theories and have not found any of them to have merit.

I also own guns but I don't go around making jokes about threatening people with them.

Thanks

I appreciate that you free thinkers are saner than I originally gave you credit for. BTW- no jokes were made. I would never threaten anyone. If total wacko's were in the area, one should be aware and prepared.

I sleep very well at night- Tonight will be even better.

Listen, "Galt," you are getting yourself in some serious legal trouble if you threaten people on this list. Terroristic threatening is not something the police take lightly. Saying that you never threaten people does not mitigate the fact that you DID. You implied that you would need more ammunition of we had some particular view (presumably, one with which you disagree) on 9/11 conspiracies. That sure sounds like a threat.

As for 9/11 conspiracy theories: No, people on this list, 99.999% of them, do NOT believe that the Jews masterminded the 9/11 attacks, or that Bush was behind them, or any of that nonsense. As you have seen, we base our beliefs on evidence. You have had your ass kicked so badly in debates here it looks like you are grasping at straws in desperation, hoping that we have adopted some kooky beliefs.

No, we don't have kooky beliefs, we have evidence-based beliefs. You don't, and that's why you get your ass whipped so often here. And it is obviously eating away at you. Don't let it go to your head and cause you to make more threats.

You're idiot Doug

You think that was a threat?? You're a kook.

That was no threat. You actually think that post was a threatening statement- You are truly deranged and hate filled (Big surprise!)

I think we can all agree that the 911 Nut at the Farmer's Market makes all reasonable people fear for their safety- Assuming that he REALLY BELIEVES the lies, "theories" and hate that he spreads.

I was simply giving you the right wing stereo type that you folks crave. I own zero guns- but I'm sure glad that we have the right to have them.

It was Darrel's most thoughtful response of all time, and I appreciate that.

But, how YOU get a threat out of that amazes me- I suggest you drop the hate and engage in thoughtful discourse.

If I was Democrat, I would say that you hurt my feelings and I would sue you for your birkenstocks.

As a reasonable conservative, I will turn the other cheek and pity you.

Get a GRIP.

Er uh, I'm glad you inherited what ever money you have accumulated Galt.
"stero type" is one word, not that your gross misspellings mean anything.

Btw, come join the fun. I'm a proud co-founder of Liberals with Guns. Personally I own three beautiful firearms and one plain, simple ugly one.
Liberals with Guns requires that you own at least an air rifle to join and share liberal values. We have an annual shoot out every Feb 30 at the fair grounds.

Let's review. Galt starts a thread wanting to know the supposed "Free Thinker" position on 9/11 theories. He starts this by stating he has been awarded the privilege of a concealed weapons permit by the state (this suggests that they think he is perhaps smart enough to know better than to post gun threats in a public forum. OOPS). Then he tells us he is thinking of buying a gun, specifically an assault rifle. A gun designed to shoot people and quite good at shooting a lot of people.

A pic:

He then says he may "buy even more magazines depending on where" we "stand on the 911 conspiracy theories." People buy more magazines when they want to shoot more people. He finishes by informing us he is a "crack shot."

Now we are asked to believe that if Doug or anyone sees a threat in this they are "truly deranged."

Galt, why don't you try turning off the lie machine for just a moment and be honest? I assure you, you are fooling no one.

Suggestion: instead of turning to a gun to threaten crackpot theories or the people who hold them, try using a good evidence based argument. That's what we do. That's what crackpots with goofy theories are really afraid of.

Our local chief of police happens to be an acquaintance of mine. I have interviewed him and used to play in a band with his brother. If he were to see anything threatening in your comments above Galt, would you think he is deranged? Just wondering.

That's rather strange, John. I'm not sure it's in my best interest to attend meetings if there exists that possibility that I could have a bullet in my head from some nut job.

That does not excuse your blatant threat on this forum.
John Galt wrote: I was simply giving you the right wing stereo type that you folks crave.
That does not mean that it was not a threat.
John Galt wrote: I own zero guns- but I'm sure glad that we have the right to have them.
Your threat was about acquiring guns--and extra ammunition/magazines DEPENDING ON WHAT WE BELIEVE. So how many magazines you buy depends on what we on this forum believe. That is pretty clear, and it is a threat.

And, by the way, your title for your post is ungrammatical.

I see no reason to believe that. Why don't you give one? I don't know this fellow at the farmer's market but I have talked to people who believe in 9/11 conspiracy theories and have never found them to be threatening. A little fuzzy in the critical thinking department but that is rampant.

That's not what I crave at all. I have had quite enough of extreme right-wing blather and don't need someone to strain and pretend to make it appear even more foolish.

Here is what I crave, and this forum could really benefit from. Participation by a conservative who holds beliefs worth defending. A conservative who has the balls to defend their beliefs. Someone who can put forth a passionate, honest and well thought out case for why someone should be persuaded to adopt their beliefs. I think on many issues it could be done. I'll believe anything that is true. I am interested in what works. If and when conservative ideas obtain better results for humanity, I will gladly (and have) adopt them (note: your attempts to stereotype me as a knee jerk liberal are wrong). Hell, I could do a far better job of presenting the conservative position than I have seen any right-winger do around here but I really don't feel like taking on the roll as a debate exercise. Lots of freethinkers are sincere conservatives and lots of them are in fact admirers of Ayn Rand.

The day a rightwing conservative comes on this forum and roasts me like a marsh-mellow is the day I will be a happy man. Happy because I will have learned something new and this forum will be all the better by having honest and informed representative from all persuasions.

If Galt is not prepared to be an honest representative for the right-wing position I wish he would find someone who can.

Galt isn't, and he can't.

Galt is unable, and the latter class is an empty set.

I didn't read it as a threat.
