On Real Time With Bill Maher, retired Army Major General Paul D. Eaton explains why the Republicans have been the worst thing for the military.



"We've got this thing that so many military believe that Republican administrations are good for the military. That is rarely the case. And, we have to get a message through to every soldier, every family member, every friend of soldiers that the Republican party, the Republican dominated Congress has absolutely been the worst thing that's happened to the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps."

The idea that the Rs are good for the military is part of the very successful R propaganda, speciously based on the fact that most higher level officers are Rs (and on the fact that Rs usually disapproved of whatever war they were used in). The bulk of the military has always been Dems and the Dems have always been the ones to make sure they were fed, clothed, and housed (and patched up).

Since the military routinely engages in morally despicable and barbaric interventions, it must be asked: Isn't it good to be bad for the military?

IMO it would be wonderful if the USEmpire's military were totally destroyed.

It's a big expensive video game to W and his followers. This generation of kids is far enough away from the reality - and young enough to still believe themselve immortal - to unconsciously put the "war on terror" in the category of reality TV. It is a total betrayal of America's youth to encourage that perception.
