Unfortunately, I didn't read the posts in time for a prediction, but I think I might have predicted Eliot. Even though he is very good, he seems kind of one dimensional. Ace's performance shocked me too, he was actually quite good! In fact, I think that this was most even week with everyone doing a great job. (except Pickler)

I just watched the results show and am not surprised that Ace is history. He has been lame anyhow. What did shock me was that Chris and Paris were in the bottom three. I can't believe it! I can somewhat understand Chris in the bottom three because though he is amazing in his style, he isn't very versatile. But Paris is versatile and awesome. It just doesn't make sense unless you consider that the same people that vote for idol singers could very well have chosen GW Bush too. Also, it could be that maybe the votes for everyone aren't that far apart.

Can't wait for Tuesday!

In my opinion, people felt sorry for Kellie so they voted for her; people thought Chris was safe whether they voted for him or not, so they didn't bother. People don't really get voted OFF the show, they just don't get enough votes to stay ON.

Betsy, I agree, those were definately sympathy votes keeping Kellie alive this week. She really bombed.

Thanks for posting the link to that Elliot song. It was great to hear again. That guy sure can sing.

Do you have any predictions for the winner?

It's between Chris, Kathryn and Taylor Hicks. I would choose Chris out of those three, but I predict that Kathryn will win.

OK, time for the Wednesday quarterbacking on last night's AI. I thought they were all really really good and the judges were wrong whenever they were being negative.... bottom three? all the girls. Paris will go.

I was thinking Paris or Kellie to go, but also decided Paris because Kellie seems to be so popular. Oh...it's on right now. Let's see what happens!

Well, I just watched Kellie get the axe and I am glad that she went. She had the weakest performances this week and last week, so I am glad that the voters chose fairly. I thought her popularity would carry her through one more time.

I think it will be between Chris and Kat in the end, but it's hard to say who will win. Chris had always been my favorite, but I think Kat has an amazing voice. I'm going with Chris as the winner. That's my prediction.

I missed the results show because...I ACTUALLY HAD A DATE!!! So, I just found out from you that Kellie got the boot. Good. All is as it should be, at least in the world of AI, if nothing else. See why I like this show?!

I agree. Pickler made it to 6th place and that was far enough.

Tamara asks why we weren't invited on the date. How are we supposed to check these guys out for you if you go alone?

We would love to join you, unless of course you do it on another Idol night! Not that I'm hooked or anything.

I actually *did* go out again last night, and had to tape American Idol. I watched it this morning. What a crappy night! They're all so talented and are capable of putting on very enjoyable performances (i.e., last week) but this week, BLAH. How boring and average.

I predict Paris and Taylor will be in the bottom two, with a surprise bombshell result of Taylor getting kicked off.

The odds are that it will be Paris who goes, however.

hmmm...predictions, predictions. I think that it will be Paris and Elliot in the bottom 2 tonight. But who will go. I say Elliot will be the surprize loser tonight.
How was your date and when do we get to check him out?

Okay, well I guess my prediction may have just been wishful thinking. So much for my psychic ability!!! HAR!!

I guess I'm going to have to totally nerd out and VOTE next week, for Elliott, of course. I want him to win.

The date went well and I am lucky to have met this guy. The dating fairies were kind to me, I guess they felt sorry for me after the last fiasco. He's really a cool cute nice fun guy. (not fungi, fun guy) AND, he drives a convertible. Yippee!! So, when's the next party at your place?

Now if only the money fairies would take pity on me, too.

I hate to break it to you, but there is no way that Elliot will win. Sorry to burst your bubble. I think it pretty much has to be Kat or Chris. Elliot just doesn't have enough of the "it" factor to push him to the top.

Now on to more important matters...I think we are due for a party sometime soon. Maybe once the rainy weather starts to back off. Darrel is turning 40 in August too and that will surely merit a party, but I don't know if we want to wait that long.

I'm glad you met a nice guy, I know how many losers are out there. I even dated a few of them! But no more! Thankfully.

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!!

Just don't plan your party on the first or third weekend of the month. As you may know, that's visitation weekends for non-custodial parents...

I did not know about non-custodial weekends as we are a every other week family here. But we will keep that in mind when planning so that you will have no excuse for not showing up.

I can come whenever; but new guy can't if it's on the first or third weekend.
