But that's not how science works either. We don't open up scientific debate to anyone who gives a rip and can afford to buy a subscription to Nature or Journal of Biochemistry. The debate takes place in those journals as experiments conducted by qualified scientists, or at conferences for the appropriate portion of the scientific community.
Frankly, HuffPo's science stance leaves much to be desired. Sadly, the Disco Institute's is infinitely worse.
