Back in the '80s Berke Breathed ran a cartoon sequence where "The Lard" would call home Jim & Tammy, Falwell, & Roberts, if viewers would send enough money. Opus contributed immediately. Isn't it amusing that "Heaven" is supposed to be so much better than here, reward for the "good life" and all that, so of course the Preachers have a primo space there - and yet they raised millions to keep the Big J from taking them there?

Actually, I don't think they care about raising money to get "there" because I don't truly don't believe they believe there is a "there." I think they're just trying to hoard as much money as they can to live as opulently and greedily as they can HERE.

And, I believe, that is the very definition of cynicism.
