"I believe government has an obligation to open its coffers for competitive bidding to faith-based and community-based groups in order to make sure America -- America's souls are saved one person at a time." (GW Bush, Aug. 30, 2006)
"We could have done something important Max. We could have fought child abuse or Republicans!" --Oona Hart (played by Victoria Foyt), in the 1995 movie "Last Summer in the Hamptons."

Jesus Christ!

Here is a Bush quote from yesterday:

"There – it’s – you know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror."

After the first year they never let Ronald Reagan talk to anybody without a script - and allowed no "unscripted" questions. They should have done the same with W if they wanted him to make sense. The man is totally disconnected with reality and his religious myth is a dangerous guide for America and the rest of the world. The really scary part is the number of Americans who listen to his "sound bite" conclusions without listening to the religious zealotry passing for logic that got him there. His use of analogies (like equating Bin Ladin to Hitler) are carefully practiced, but his explanations of why or how hold no water (or anything else).
