A new ad campaign for a small Toronto college is ridiculing GW Bush by suggesting that going to Yale does not mean that one is smart.

See here.

Simply Audio, a Canadian audio book club, also in Toronto, is also making fun of Bush by asking in its posters "Don't Read Enough?" and having a big picture of Bush there.

I have noticed that in the past two or three weeks it is more common to see people questioning the president's intelligence, or lack thereof. Even Joe Scarborough had that as a topic on one of his shows, and he's a right-winger.

The segment was called "Is Bush an Idiot?" Here is the actual screen shot:

I wonder why they put quotation marks around "idiot." Perhaps they thought it would soften the blow of asking such a supposedly rude question.

It's about time the question reached primetime TV, though.

And speaking of Bush intelligence...

He appears to have suffered the effects of brain damage from years of hard drinking on top of condition of dyslexia. Hence you get statements like his paraphrase about trade: "It is the terriers and barriffs that...." Psychiatrists will tell you he is an untreated alcoholic. They are prone to two-valued logic -- good versus evil, black versus white. He may not be an idiot, but instead is extremely prone to bad or impaired judgment. If you worked in the Federal government for any length of time, you would realize that he is the very essence of the ubiquitous incompetent administrator--- always doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. I suspect Warren Harding will finally have stiff competition in subsequent polls as the worst President in U.S. history. Thing is, Harding knew he was incompetent and unfit for the job, but Bush has no clue.

Bush is only imcompetent if you judge him by what a president SHOULD be concerned with. "Rapture-Ready" Bush is quite competent if you judge him, not as a president, but as someone with the power to start Armegeddon. If he'd moved any faster to start the "final war" the rest of the world would have already reformed the "Allies" of WWII, sans the U.S. (remember, the Allies of WWI included Japan and Italy), and if the nuclear holocaust hadn't already happened, we'd be well on the way to having our democratic republic returned to us externally (after a whole lot of "collateral damage"). Going at it the way he has, total world war will still come (if he isn't stopped soon), and at least half the populace of the planet will blame it on Muslims instead of the Instigator-in-Chief.

Right, Barb. His Biblical interpretation of the situation and his proposed solution worries a lot of people. I suspect he wants to start a war with Iran next, and that will really be catastrophic for our troops in Iraq.

I did. Hadn't decided on some of the items before, so procrastinated.

I've been working day and night and, honestly, just saw these clips on here for the first time tonight. Of course, I had seen many of the clips they referenced other places. I think it is pretty plain, and answers a lot of Scarborough's questions....the guy is toasted. Drunk as a skunk. I can almost guarantee you that the people closest to him all know this, and battle daily to keep the rest of us from finding out about it. After all, it's a matter of national security. If anybody brings it up, they are aiding and abetting the enemy. And, as John Oliver says. "We all know that terrorists are notoriously insecure". It'll all come out in somebody's book someday.

I think he is getting worse too. I listened to some of his latest speech. He enunciates like a drunk. It's really quite amazing to listen to.

Watch a three minute clip of the mayor of Salt Lake City kicking the stuffing out of the president here:

LINK

Actually, that's just the intro. It's worth reading the whole thing. He doesn't hold back:

Woof! Now THERE'S a "Rocky" I can support. And we need more like him - and people paying attention and contacting current elected representatives with those words - and supporting the campaigns of those, incumbant or not, who walk the walk as well as talk the talk (unfortunately, I don't know of any in Arkansas who are that strong - so my vote will still have to be for "lesser evilism").

As to W. being blotto - maybe, but I'd bet on a neurological disorder.

Once again The Onion has identified the reason for Bush not thinking clearly:
Bush Urges Nation To Be Quiet For A Minute While He Tries To Think
August 30, 2006 | Issue 42•35

WASHINGTON, DC—In a nationally televised address Monday, President Bush urged all citizens, regardless of race, creed, color, or political affiliation, "to quiet down for just one minute" so he could have "a chance to think."
"Every American has an inalienable right to free speech and self-expression," Bush said. "Nonetheless, I call upon the American people to hold off on it for, say, 60 seconds. Just long enough for me to get this all sorted out in my head."
