Start Your Own Bible College!

Post by Doug »

Here is a place that can set you up as a Bible College. You don't need a campus, faculty, accreditation, or even a conscience!
If you are interested in operating a Bible School, you can “start from scratch” and spend a lot of labor-intensive work “Re-inventing the wheel”, or I can sell you a ready-made “Bible School in a Box” for $282!

What I mean is, I can mail you all my Bible courses for the same cost that my students pay for them, which is really low, comparatively. Then I give you a “Letter of Copyright Permission” signed, dated, and sealed, granting you the privilege to take my name and address off of everything and put your name and address on it. You may reprint it as is, add to it, delete parts of it, or change anything you wish. And I notice that they usually increase the prices about two or three fold of what I charge.

You see, many Bible Schools have “ Extension Programs” where you can set up THEIR school in your church or somewhere and operate it for THEM. You do all the work and they get a lot of the money. But we don’t work that way. Our way is like ----after the initial ONE-TIME set-up expense you make your own pancakes and sell them and keep ALL the money.
I found this place while examining the credentials of a fundamentalist I have debated in the past. (Initials "J.G.") This "institute" is run by a Dennis Tio (who took it over from a Paul Richardson). Dennis Tio claims to have been a neurosurgeon before operating this institution of higher learning. However, a check of a list of licensed physicians turned up no evidence of this. This "institute" then gave a "Doctorate of Religious Arts in Theology (Th.D.) degree – Awarded for outstanding academic and ministry achievements” to "J.G."

Please note that MANY creationists have similar phony degrees. This is not uncommon among bottom-of-the-barrel creationists.

Oh THAT's what fundies like about separation of church and state (just about the only thing they like) - they can award degrees without any accreditation!
