Richard Dawkins documentary & May meeting

Post by WindFem3 »

Darrel and/or Doug:

We're trying to purchase a copy of the Richard Dawkins piece that was played in two parts at recent meetings. I think I've found it on Amazon, but am not 100% sure. Is it entitled "The God Who Wasn't There" from 2005? The product description seems to be about right.

Great May meeting, by the way! James and I had an awesome time, as usual. Thanks to everyone (and also for the hospitality at your home after dinner, Doug and Sharon. I hope you can make a quick stop here in Springfield on your upcoming vacation. Remember, Fazoli's is right around the corner! :P )

Always,
James & Sherry H.

No, that is a different movie. The Dawkins one is called "The Root of All Evil." I think I can bring you one when Sharon and I stop by next week.

REALLY? Hah! That would be s-o-o-o-o-o great, Doug. I'd be forever in your debt. Um, okay . . . maybe not forever. How about if Fazoli's is on me when you and Sharon visit and we'll call it even?

Have you seen "The God Who Wasn't There", by the way? Any good? (Okay, I'll concede that was a stupid  question. Honestly, isn't everything Richard Dawkins does good?)

We've played both the 2 part Dawkins (Religion: The root of all evil?) and the "God who wasn't there" at recent meetings. You can buy the "God who wasn't there" at Amazon or any good DVD store. You will not find the Dawkins in a store because it is not commercially available. Tamara had to jump through major sneaky internet hoops to find that puppy. We can get you a disk.

You can read more about it here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Root_of_All_Evil%3F

CORRECTION!

You can now watch the whole thing online! Go to the bottom of the wikipedia site and see the two google links:

Part one:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 6249268230

Part two:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 8224461127

Watch at your leisure.

Excellent.
