FAUX News Howler

DOUG
A real howler from Fox News. (And they have so many!)
In a May 21 FoxNews.com column, Fox News contributor Susan Estrich included Washington managing editor Brit Hume, chief political correspondent Carl Cameron, and the anchors of Fox News Live among "the hundreds of other people" at Fox News who -- unlike commentators Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and John Gibson -- don't "put forward a point of view" but rather "do their jobs every day without giving anyone a hint of who they support in their private lives."
Here.
Right. They work at Fox News, but, darn it, we just can't figure out who they support...
"We could have done something important Max. We could have fought child abuse or Republicans!" --Oona Hart (played by Victoria Foyt), in the 1995 movie "Last Summer in the Hamptons."

Well, it's not likely, but possible that they are closet Dems, and Fox was just where they could get jobs. Openings for TV anchors aren't thick on the ground. When I lived in San Francisco, I worked for Bechtel, Sohio Petroleum, Sohio Construction, Chevron, Bank of America, Bank of California, Wells Fargo and a bunch of other major corporations (including PT&T during the AT&T divestiture) - they were the jobs I could get and as a single parent I couldn't afford to snoot anybody willing to pay me $10 or more per hour. I learned lots of stuff I now use when sending letters to my congersfolks, among others, but I'm not exactly proud of having them on my employer list. Still...
