Wow- our racist boy blunder sinks! His popularity is ranked 10th out of 12 post-war Presidents!
It gets worse folks- our first idiot now has a disapproval rating of 51%. Even the black cop at the scene of Harvard Race Basher Henry Gates house says that Gates is an ass and that he deserved to be arrested!
Yet Obama (the man that has spent over $1 million to avoid the release of his original birth certificate) has the nerve to call the cops stupid! Not a smart idea for a man that relies on local police for security. Of course his sad attempt to socialize 1/5 of our economy is going down in flames.

A bad week for a terrible President (and did you catch the presser where he danced like Sammy Davis Jr to avoid answering any questions?)

It is panic time at the White House, I can only imagine what you folks are going through... Maybe you should pray??

Wow, Galt sounds like he's a Birther. I'm disturbed that we aren't getting much progress on a health plan but this in no way hurts the democrats, if that's what you're implying. Everyone know which party is choking the effort and it will come back to bite them.

And Bush inherited a great economy and a surplus. Obama inherited a Republican disaster. Since only one point separates their popularity, I'd say Obama is doing extremely well.

And this while dealing with Bush's depression 2.0? Let me know when he gets in the 30's (where Bush lived much of the time).

His favorability ratings are even higher, all in the 60's. Those will be coming down of course. He is "mortal" after all (I think).

So glad you could stop by Galt. We could all benefit from a respectful, intelligent correspondent from the far right who can challenge our claims. You'll do until we can get one of those.

Oh, on the birther stuff. I can't take any of it seriously. I do hope the far right keeps talking about it and wasting their energy making fools of themselves. Saves me time.

The Roast:

This is not true in two ways. First when Obama was born this provision was not allowed. Only births in Hawaii were registered in Hawaii in 1961, and Obamas’ birth was registered in Hawaii in 1961.

Second, even today the state of Hawaii does not allow any of its documents to lie. So, when a child is born outside of Hawaii and his parents qualify as Hawaiian residents, the short-form birth certificate must say something like: “Hawaii birth certificate, location of birth: New Jersey (or wherever it was). Obama’s says that he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Re: “The true “long-form” birth certificate – which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and attending physician – is the only document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny.’

But Obama cannot show it. Hawaii sends out only the short-form certifications of live birth. Only the short-form certifications to everyone.

So, unless Obama has a copy of the original birth certificate, saved from the time of birth by his parents, and not lost since then (and many of us do lose our original birth certificate), then all that he can show is what Hawaii sends, and Hawaii sends out only the short-form certification.

The document that Obama posted and showed to FactCheck and PoliFact was confirmed by the two officials of the state when they looked into Obama’s records and found an original birth certificate. (At the time Obama was born Hawaii did not allow foreign birth certificates to be filed.) And subsequently, the spokewoman for the department spoke to the Chicago Tribune and said that the statement by the two officials was proof of birth in Hawaii.

I don’t care if President Obama was the descendant of a chimpanzee, heck that would make him family. Next Issue-I do believe that Professor Gates accusation of officer Crawley was wrong, and that the Issue on racism won’t change anything because it has already been put into law. I believe Professor Gates arrest isn’t a case about racism. I am a white male that was once arrested for telling a cop that he wasn’t doing his job right. The issue is that cops shouldn’t be allowed to make arrest because someone told the police that they could do a better job or hurt the cop’s feelings. There should be more laws to govern cops that say clearly that if a citizen isn’t causing harm to himself or others than there’s nothing the cops can do. I think Officer Crawley is too emotional to be a police officer and should be criticized for it. It makes me concerned to think that if the police can arrest a Harvard African American Professor in his own home today, than what chance do I have the next time I express my opinion to a cop.

Actually these laws DO exist...they go right up to the Bill of Rights...you see the issue is that officers of the law are most often disturbingly ignorant of the law. I have a great respect for police officers so please keep in mind I am not suggesting anyone behave in such a disrespectful manner towards the men and women who risk their necks and sanity to keep order in our society, however, you do have the constitutional right to call an officer a porkified fuckstain if you feel the need and LEGALLY there is noting they can do about it if you are not breaking any laws or impeding their ability to do their jobs. However I have personally witnessed the FAYETTEVILLE police department engaging in acts of entrapment as well as abusing their authority in their interaction with the public. This is all too typical...and yes...it is time we hold them to the flame. You see when officers behave this way they violate the trust of the public and compromise the integrity of law enforcement as a whole. They can not keep order without the cooperation of the public...when they alienate the public they are diminishing their ability to serve and protect. To me the responsibilities of law enforcement are sacred. It disturbs me that so many officers do not understand the responsibility they carry for the welfare of our community.

Unfortunately, our country doesn't feel that that is a good principle to use regarding laws. There are laws against smoking pot, gay marriage, buying alchohol on Sunday, etc. that do not harm anyone.

I pointed out to my (slightly right-leaning) family last week that these are perfect examples of the "we hate government and want to shrink it" conservatives hypocritically shoehorning government into where it ought not be. Now, my family is composed of smart people, but they couldn't come up with a counterargument or justification. It's amazing what people don't realize because they're blinded by ideology. ... and I consider my family way more liberal than most others in the area.
