DAR
Tamara did it! (Dar blames wife).
I have read a lot of Betty Bowers over the years and it always seemed like it was written in a gay/transvestite style. Then when I saw that video clip I said, hey, I think she's a dude. Tamara checked something and said "yep, his name is Deven Green." I said "aha" and went with it. Any way, Devon Green is a hired actor for the Betty Bowers gig. The creator and writer for the books and website material is Paul A. Bradley.
From the wiki blurb:
"The character, as well as the content of the website, was created by Paul A. Bradley, who is also one of the lead writers for the websites LandoverBaptist.org (a parody site concerning religion) and Whitehouse.org. Bradley is the sole author of all material on the Betty Bowers site, as well as the author of What Would Betty Do? (Simon & Schuster 2002), based on the same character. Bradley was also a co-author of The White House Employee Handbook (Penguin 2004) and Welcome to Jesusland! (formerly the United States of America) (Time Warner 2006). The character Betty Bowers appears in all three of these books."

Re: More Betty Bowers
Darrel neglects mentioning that originally Tamara thought she was a woman. Then Darrel kept saying, "there's no way, that's a dude!" So, I went to her website and didn't read it, but just looked at the pictures there which completely make her look like a drag queen. See for yourself.Darrel wrote:DAR

Then, assuming my husband was right, I went along with him. So, Darrel did it!
