Schaeffer wrote "Crazy for God" after his experiences as part of the fanatical Religious Right. He condemns Bill O'Really! remarks and says they contribute to a climate of extreme intolerance.
He exposes the inner workings of fanatical religious leaders who teamed up with major politicians. They had two agendas according to Schaeffer: one which included opposing abortion legally and politically
and another which included privately encouraging crazies to go after people like Dr. George Tiller.
