Post by JamesH »

I found this article this morning and thought I better post it before it disappeared.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090309/ap_ ... us_america

The study found that people claiming no religion is on the rise.

I posted this article about 10 minutes ago and I went back to the Yahoo News page and the article was already gone.

The study is also on the CNN website. It's a major study, so it's not going to be swept under the rug, fortunately.

In addition to there being more nonbelievers, there are less Christians:
Three out of four Americans call themselves Christian, according to the American Religious Identification Survey from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. In 1990, the figure was closer to nine out of 10 -- 86 percent.
See here.

So from 86% to 75% in eight years. Interesting trend.

Hey, didn't I prophesy this at a meeting a couple of months ago?

I prophesy that within 30 days a fundamentalist leader will say something that Sav will find hilarious...

I have spoken!
