Branding the Slaves

Post by L.Wood »

Sometimes one picture can capture a thousand words. This one from Springdale native Rick Baber, who many recall from the NWA Politic daz.

Both my parents instilled in me that tattoos were trashy. I haven't shaken the belief. Historically tattoos were for branding the slaves. Seems to be true today.

This generation is so far from the days of responsibility (much less slavery) that they think tatoos are "rebellion" - which, of course, they are if you are rebelling against people who think tatoos are trashy. However, tatooed or not, they are in the process of being clobbered with reality. I expect that after they finish crying for daddy to fix it, they'll buckle down and get through it - just like every generation of Americans has done before them.

DAR
Just another example of Xtians picking and choosing from their Bible. They can read their Word of God clear enough to understand that Obama is the anti-Christ but can't understand something like this:

“Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:28).
