According to an analysis of campaign contributions by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics (CRP), Democrat Barack Obama has received nearly six times as much money from troops deployed overseas at the time of their contributions as has Republican John McCain.
Troops deployed abroad give 6-1 to Obama

ALSO, I'm sure everyone already knows this but the day after Palin's speech, Obama broke his own fundraising records by taking in $10 million in 24 hours. I'm proud to say I'm one of the people who sent in money - even if it was only $25.

I sent him $50 the other day. First donation ever to a presidential candidate. I've sent some to Franken too. More to follow. Looks like Obama has lots of money. This is good. He has some fantastic ads. I hope he plays them non-stop. Emphasis through repetition.

All,
I had been planning on making a donation for a couple of weeks but I did it this morning. A friend of mine who is a democrate to the bone-his family has been part of the Democratic machine in Kansas City and his grandfather was freinds with Harry Truman-told me that even a small donation is good for a candidate. The more contributions that a candidate gets then this peaks the intrest of other politicians that are running or will have to run in the future because they want those list of names and address. The more names and address a candidate can collect the more support he will get from other politicians. Of course this can be a double edge sword since you may not want the support of all of them.
I made my donation and now I need to get my Obama/Biden sign out in front of my house. Also check my home owners insurance to make sure it covers arson! Springfield can be a little bit conservative.
