Obama Will Be Smeared

From a conservative blog, which indicates how they will begin the attack on Obama. Boldface added.

We will remind people that Obama admitted using cocaine...
We will point out that when Obama was in the Illinois Senate he voted to allow porn shops to open within 1,000 feet of churches and elementary schools.
Likewise, Obama voted against trying high school students as adults if they committed gun crimes on school grounds — I'm sure the folks in Colorado will love that vote.
...Obama supported allowing criminals to sue their victims if their victims shot them.
Crucially, for those pro-life voters who right now seem to be fawning over Obama, we'll remind them that he is to the left of Hillary on abortion — going so far as to oppose the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.
...By the time it's all over, the only defense Obama is going to have is to resort to the standard liberal playbook and scream racism when anyone dares point out his voting record. And the public we have not heard from year, the public that swings elections but generally does not engage in primaries, are going to come running to John McCain begging him to save the nation from the liberal anti-gun former cokehead whose feminist wife hates America.

Thats nothing, they get most of that on any Dem. Wait until subtle and not so subtle racism creeps in. The Dems are going to have a tougher time than they should this year, because they will put either a white woman or a black man up against a white male. Now, the fact that the Dems will put one of those two (Obama looks like, Hillary did nothing to change the math last night) up for Pres. has tempered my cynicism a bit. But I still don't think this racist/sexist country has progressed as far as others do. Wait until we get Willie Horton type adds. Or commercials like the one they used to torpedo Ford Jr. in Tennessee. From a conservative blog, which indicates how they will begin the attack on Obama.
What an election! And the dirtiest is yet to come!

Tony, you are absolutely right - and the Obama people are doing nothing to hang on to the Hillary people - and they will desparately need us - with the accusations of racism (comments taken out of context - even Jesse Jackson, the supposed victim of one supposedly racist comment, said they weren't and he should know) towards two Dems who've spent 40 years of their lives working for civil rights. They've accused Hillary of "karl roving" but her hits on him are nerf bats, some of them silly and the rest easily dealth with - his on her have been working to destroy her work and civil rights record just like the swiftboat liars tried to destroy Kerry's military one. Now, I'm a Dem. I'll vote for whoever wins the nomination. But it's getting to the point of "hold my nose" - just like I've voted for Mark Pryor in the past - because the Rs are so much worse.

The Clinton closet...
And we all know how squeaky clean the Clintons are.
Forget all about those cocaine parties with the cheerleaders, the guns and drugs and CIA in Mena, the trail of dead bodies, etc. back when Bill was governor...
And then, of course, there was Whitewater and the sex scandals and the impeachment and the selling of our defense and military technology to China.
The Republicans are salivating at the prospect of runing against Hillary. Obama scares the hell out of them and will steal crossover votes and the independents. Hillary will unite the Republicans like no one else can, and cause many independents to vote for McCain.
In short, her negatives are through the roof... and it's just a matter of time before The Clinton Chronicles and Obstruction of Justice will be prominent in the news again just to remind voters of what the Clinton years were like.
I won't have any mercy on the Clintons. When Hillary ranks McCain above Obama, and, in effect, teams up with him to smear Obama, it just proves her own ambition trumps any party loyalty.
Any time the Clintons are involved, it's gonna get down and dirty.
As an Independent, my support of Obama is more of a protest vote than anything else, because I think it is highly unlikely that our corrupt political parties and system will undergo any real and meaningful reform. Near as I can tell, we are hell-bent on national suicide, and I dunno if anything, or anyone, can stop that speeding train. We need what amounts to a revolution, and that is always risky, at best.

Since you have a whole "trail" to choose from, why don't you pick one of those dead bodies and demonstrate Bill caused it. Just one. Let's see what you've got.

I encourage Phalcon to be more skeptical of such claims. Snopes has a good debunk of the "Clinton body count" legends that the gullible pass around here.

"Post 1994 reincarnation as moderate/conservative Democrats" really needs to include the context that the Rs controlled Congress after 1994. Consider what W did with an R-controlled Congress to realize what Bill Clinton stopped, please. Most Clinton dislike from the liberal side stems from disappointment that Bill didn't somehow magically manage to fulfill his campaign agenda against those odds. He still got done a whole lot more than most people know about - much of which the people who do know about mostly found out when W revoked it. (Now, the retrench on gays in the military - backed off to 'don't ask, don't tell' when everybody screamed about it - which they did, I remember it well - THAT is a real reason to be pissed at Bill. While it was better than "hunt them down and get rid of them, one way or another", it wasn't really all that good and nobody was happy with it. He lost cred and didn't get the job done.)
As to the charges against the Clintons, the only thing that "stuck" was the entrapment over Lewinsky. (Yes, entrapment - why else did she keep the dress? - too bad constitutional protections only apply to criminal cases.) Everything else was "ok, they didn't do that" in small type in the bottom inside next to the last page in the newspaper, and skipped altogether in radio and tv.

On 3/26/08, a Rasmussen Poll found that Obama's unfavorable ratings are only three points behind those of Hillary Clinton. She's only two points behind Obama in the favorable totals.
Favorable/Unfavorable ratings total:
Clinton 44/54
Obama 46/51
McCain 55/42
Clinton's "Very unfavorable" rating is 36% to Barack's 33%.

Well, almost. The Long Right Turn was well underway. However it was 2002 before the Neanderthals captured a majority in the Senate and it was, thankfully a thin majority, just as it is now.

Let me tell you a brief story about that one. When Kenneth Starr was in Ark doing his prosecutorial witch hunt on all things Clinton they happened upon a woman I had known. She was an assistant to a U.S. judge in Little Rock and had gotten arrested for mj dealing from a transaction 4-5 years earlier.cocaine parties with the cheerleaders
She was originally from North Central Arkansas. She was facing an automatic sentence of 10 years in the federal penn. Kenneth Starr's main legal assistant approached her attorney with a deal- If she could produce a picture of Bill Clinton doing cocaine or a witness who saw him he could cut a deal with the L.R. Federal prosecutor and have her sentence reduced to nothing. The rumor was that Clinton had done cocaine with women around Marshall, AR. She , her rich boyfriend, and her entire family scoured the hills in No. Central Ark for anyone who knew anything about Clinton and his supposed cocaine trysts. It went on for months. She talked to everyone she knew who may have a hint. So did her family, friends and boyfriend. She was 34 years old with a lovely daughter and wanted desperately to remain free. They learned absolutely nothing. Discovered nothing, found no one who even heard of it.
Most of the Clinton Sins found in Clinton Chronicles were co-developed by local nutcake, Rev Jay Cole. Ask the good Reverend about drug addiction.

Exactly right. I attended Jay Cole's church twice. He was handing out free copies of that insane Falwell video along with Clinton "queer three dollar bills." The same eleven retards were there both times. I counted.
I once offered to publicly debate him on the issue of biblical inerrancy. He ran. Like Galt, no facts and no balls.

I saw Jay Cole at some stupid event at the U. of A., and I challenged him to a debate on God's existence. He said he couldn't do it because he had a sore throat. I said that I didn't mean right now, I meant when it was convenient. He muttered something about his sore throat again.Darrel wrote:I once offered to publicly debate him on the issue of biblical inerrancy. He ran. Like Galt, no facts and no balls. D.
I guess he has perpetual sore throat. Or no balls.
Later he was being treated for a morphine addiction. Good ol' Jay Cole.
